Next Steps

For many of us whole family gatherings are a source of real joy. They are a beautiful expression of unity and diversity; one family, many members. Of course we see this unity and diversity a little when we two or three family members meet together. But getting the whole bunch, the whole clan together has an extra specialness. Yes, they are more work than smaller groupings. Nonetheless, because there is such value in all being together, the work is worth it.

As we gather as one body in one service on September 22 nd , we remember our unity in Christ. And while we each have our different stories, we join together as one family in the Jesus story. But the Jesus story includes the Dapto Anglican story and so while we look up and in to our unity in Christ, we also look back at how God has been at work in the Dapto Anglican story. And so we look back with thankfulness.

But the Dapto Anglican story hasn’t finished. In fact we are only mid story. So together as one family we look forward into this next year together. 2025 a year of stepping out. Stepping out in local and global mission as we do life together here in Dapto. What will that mean for each of us as individuals, in our diversity in Christ? What will that mean for us as a church in our unity in Christ? We make plans and it is the Lord that establishes our steps.
